In 2008, he created the “peer to peer electronic cash system” that we know today as Bitcoin (BTC) and maintains over 1 million BTC, making Satoshi one of the world’s richest people.
So let’s get to the point… who is this mystery person?
Well, in short, nobody knows.
Over the years, many people have claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto — mostly notably Craig Wright.
A recent article by Coin Telegraph even theorized that Canadian cryptographer James A. Donald is, in fact, Satoshi.
But none have been able to sign a BTC transaction using Satoshi’s original wallet so the mystery is alive and well.
